The New Absolute Flagship - Navetta 73 - Already winning awards.

Sep 20, 2017

“Engineering of Beauty” is the slogan chosen by Absolute for their new flagship, the Navetta 73.

The Navetta 73 is a natural evolution from the Navetta 52 and Navetta 58; the radical, stylish and innovative yachts created by the Podenzano based yard.

Absolute yachts are founded by the Gobbi family, a world renowned Italian name synonymous with boat building and come with a long history of success behind them. The extensive experience in the industry has been utilised to develop a radically modern approach to boat building that has taken the yachting world by storm.

This know-how and innovative spirit has been passionately applied into the design of the New Navetta 73, applying technology and offering functionalities that one would normally expect in bigger yachts.

The passionate and innovate professionals at the Absolute Research and Development Lab have created a design offering a striking innovative surface design, which is evident in both the main deck and the under deck.  The Navetta 73 stands out when compared to yachts of the same range, with a contemporary profile, and interior spaces normally found in yachts 10 feet longer.

The tall bulwarks and imposing superstructures are attenuated by the sharp edges that the hull design offers at bow, where dark windows are seamlessly infused into the design, that together with the small circular portholes and the windows of the stern area, create a balanced design that eases the commanding size of the Navetta 73.

One of the great features of the Navetta 73 is a floor area of 55 meters that can be furnished in a wide variety of options offered by Absolute. At the Fly one finds the helm station that is connected with the internal helm station through a short and well accessible flight of stairs, which provides a reserved and practical area for the crew.  A stylish and elegant mobile bar is situated opposite a dining area that consists of a stylish and innovative dining table, dining chairs and a sofa that mirrors the style and elegance of this Fly. The convertible hard-top at stern can be used as a sunbathing spot.

The living area offers imposing windows which extend beyond the salon area, offering unobstructed views.  The four guest cabins are stylishly furnished with natural elements like wood, crystal, leather and famed Calacatta marble.  The attention to detail is unrivalled.  A typical example is the Murano glass finished bathroom knobs.

The Master Cabin is situated at bow on a halfway deck, creating a separate and private area on the boat. The design is such that the master cabin offers a unique landscape, that can be experienced in the ample highly furnished space with massive en-suite facilities.  The Navetta 73 can accommodate up to eight guests and three crew members. The cabins consist of master stateroom, a double cabin and two VIP cabins, one of which could be easily are utilised as a second master cabin.

As expected from the Absolute brand, the style of the interior combines sophistication and sobriety with a decisive nature.

Always ahead of the competition, Absolute was one the first shipyards to install IPS systems on their boats and after the strong success and advantages experienced with this innovative engineering, Absolute designers work hand in hand with Volvo Penta so as to enable the design and engineering potential to be optimised and the results speak for themselves. The flagship Navetta 73 is equipped with two D13-IPS1350 Volvo Penta offering 1,000 hp each.   This Volvo system offers silent running, reduced fuel consumption and low levels of noise and vibrations on board. Unofficial consumption figures are not at this point released yet but sea trials have shown impressive consumption figures of around 65 lts of fuel an hour at 10 knots while giving a top speed of 27 knots at approximately 360 liters of fuel an hour, meaning 15 liters of fuel per nautical mile - truly impressive figures for a majestic 73 footer of this dimensions.

The IPS system also offers enhanced maneuverability through joystick controls.  In order to maximise maneuverability the Navetta 73 has four areas of control, two inside and two on the outside.

The Navetta 73 can hold up to 4,000l of fuel, and 1,000l of water allowing for longer periods at sea, in the comfort and beauty offered by the Absolute Flagship. The Navetta 73 has already won the World Yacht Trophies Award for the most innovative boat in the category of boats up to 24 meters at Cannes Yachting Festival 2017, a notable and prestigious honor following the “‘European Power Boat of the Year” awarded to the 50Fly presented at 2017 Dusseldorf Boat Show.
